What it means in plain English
Your engine fires each cylinder in a specific order, like a drummer keeping a beat. P0300 means the beat keeps skipping — but the computer can't tell which drummer is missing the hit. One or more cylinders are misfiring randomly, meaning fuel isn't burning cleanly. The engine runs rough, may shake, and can damage the catalytic converter if left unchecked.

#1 Worn or fouled spark plugs

#2 Failed ignition coil (one or more)
likelyFix: Swap individual coils between cylinders to see if the misfire follows the coil. Replace the failing coil(s). On coil-on-plug engines each cylinder has its own coil, making isolation easy.

Can I drive with a P0300 code?
Yes, carefully — if the check engine light is solid (not flashing) and the car drives without severe shaking or power loss. But a flashing check engine light with P0300 means an active, severe misfire that can destroy your catalytic converter. Pull over and call for help if the light is flashing.
Why does P0300 come back after I replace spark plugs?
