EVAP Vent Valve

What it does

The vent valve is the other gate on your fuel-vapor system. To run a self-test, the car seals the whole tank-and-canister loop by closing this valve, then checks that pressure holds. If the valve is stuck open (often from dirt or corrosion since it sits underneath the car), the system can't seal and you get a large-leak code.
